I'm talking about the determined spirit of this Ukrainian poet called Lesya Ukrainka (1871 - 1913).
Thanks to my master (Daisaku Ikeda) I've red some verses that I felt very strong and full of encouragement:
"In my heart resound a Victory song. In my soul the power of spring grows" and, again: " Sing with a loud and cheerful voice so that the same misfortune loughs."
As I've read these verses I felt the desire to make them mine and to know something more about the author.
Although she has died at 42 the Ukarainka was able, through her writings, to take a clear position against the authoritarism of that time in the hope of the humanism retourn, and notwithstanding many persecutions due to her politic opinions, she was of a great inspirations for people.
I admire such a kind of female figures that has pursued their belief till the end , especially in times when women's voices was unheeded. I thinkit's important to know about them as we can take inspirations nowaday too.
